This week I've been on two LCC print studio inductions. First was on wednesday and the second on friday which means today. Can't wait to wright all about it here. I loved LCC print studio. It's very large and there are so many printing machines and special equipments. I will start my story from my Screen printing induction. I have a pretty long story with it. All last term I wanted to go for induction so bad I was literally dreaming about it. But my time table was very busy on days when induction classes were run. This term luckily I have enough time to explore printing area. Anyway back to the subject! Screen printing! This is a most exciting and fascinating process that I've ever seen while I am taking my study in LCC. So here are some of my notes which I call Screen printing step by steps.
- Screen MUST be clean.
- After cleaning needs to be degreased
- Should be dried in dryer. Wet ones on the left, coated ones on the right side.
- Exposure. Process when you are actually transferring the picture to your screen.
After all these things you can finally go to your printing machine and start doing your art work.

It is also possible to use this technique on fabric.
My next post about embossing induction is coming soon. Look forward.
Can you tell me where is the print machine for T-shirts????
ReplyDeleteWell it's pretty much the same machine. But you put fabric instead of paper and that's it =)
