3D workshop induction

Today I had my 3D workshop induction. To be honest I was a bit in doubt about should I or should I not sign up for this workshop. All in all I did. And I have no even a small thing to regret about. 3D area in LCC is very good. I think it gives new opportunities to make your work more interesting and high technological. On the equipment that I saw there it is possible to work with wood, plastic, styrofoam and paper as well.
Wood area. The place work whith wood on a wide range of different types of machines.

This is vacuum former machine. You just put the object in it. No matter what kind of object, it could be even a bunch of beens. Then cover it with pice of plastic, turn the machine on and Voila! Brand new 3D plastic object is ready!
Machine that I liked the most is a laser cut. But it's  money paid. The price is 30£ per hour to work on it, but believe me it's worth it.

Gregor (one of the tutors that lead the workshop) let all of us take some letters that has been done by laser cut machine.
P.S. I never heard the word "SAFETY" so many times as heard it in 3D area. And it's very fair. Because it is so easy to injure yourself with all that noisy equipment that stands there.
